ART 250 Surface Design: Textiles
This course introduces the basic principles and
elements of art as applied to textile surfaces.
Emphasis is placed on direct, top-dyed processes
that utilize both synthetic and natural dyes, and
techniques such as batiking, stenciling, and
stamping. Upon completion, students should be
able to demonstrate a basic understanding of
appropriate materials and techniques as they apply
to original design on a variety of textile
surfaces.
