Posthumas Credentials
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute has a long history of compassionate interaction with families and friends of students who passed away while enrolled at the College. A posthumous credential may be awarded upon request to the President. A student who passes away while enrolled and pursuing a degree, diploma or certificate may be considered for a posthumous credential up to one year after the student's death based on the following criteria:
- Credential-seeking students who have completed at least 75% of a program’s requirements may qualify for a posthumous credential.
- The student must have a 2.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
The statement “awarded posthumously” will be printed on the student's academic record, but not on the credential. The posthumous degree or diploma will not be included in any state or federal reporting data.
Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the President.
