Federal Programs for Veterans and Dependents
Veterans’ Educational benefits are available for veterans and/or their dependents. Eligibility for each of the programs varies. Students are encouraged to visit the Office of Financial Aid or their local Veterans Affairs Office to find out more about these programs. The following programs are for veterans and/or their dependents to assist with educational expenses:
A. Chapter 30: Montgomery GI Bill (Active Duty)
B. Chapter 31: Veteran Readiness – Employment (VR+E)
C. Chapter 33: Post-9/11 GI Bill
D. Chapter 35: Survivors and Dependents Educational Assistance Program
E. Chapter 1606: Montgomery GI Bill (Selected Reserves)
F. North Carolina Scholarship for Children of War Veterans
G. North Carolina National Guard Tuition Assistance Program
