Online Course Expectations
The design and organization of online courses may vary based on course requirements and instructor preferences. However, most online courses include common components such as instructional materials, assignments, assessments, and communication tools. Students are responsible for monitoring course announcements, reviewing course materials, and meeting all deadlines.
If you have questions about course content or assignments, contact your instructor as soon as possible. Do not wait until an assignment is due, as response times may vary. Most instructors respond to email or phone messages within one business day during the workweek. Students are expected to communicate proactively with their instructor about any academic or technical issues that may affect course performance. Students who require accommodations for online learning should contact Counseling and Accessibility Services and notify their instructor at the beginning of the term or as soon as a need arises.
