Transition Courses
Transition courses are provided to students who have a secondary credential but whose unweighted high school GPA is less than a 2.2 indicating academic deficiencies. These classes include preparatory materials or topics designed to assure academic readiness for curriculum programs. If deficiencies are found in any one area, a counselor/advisor will help students select an appropriate course in order to meet necessary program requirements and/or course prerequisites. Transition courses will not count toward graduation. Students are encouraged to complete transition courses immediately upon enrollment. Transition courses include Math (MAT 003) and English (ENG 002). Course descriptions may be found in the Course Descriptions section of the college catalog.
