Associate in Arts General Education for Nursing Majors Pathway (A10100)

The Associate in Arts degree program allows students to earn their first two years of a bachelor’s degree at CCC&TI at a significant cost savings. Students who earn the A.A. degree with a grade of C or better in each course and an overall GPA of 2.0 are eligible for transfer to all UNC universities as a junior (dependent upon university admission and admission to a university nursing program).

Potential nursing students have two options at CCC&TI to achieve their career goals. The first option would be to earn the Associate Degree in Nursing at CCC&TI and then complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at a university through an RN to BSN program. A second option is to complete transferable general education courses at CCC&TI and then apply to the university and its nursing program. This pathway is designed for this second option. Students who follow this General Education for Nursing Majors Pathway will have completed many of the prerequisite courses needed for a university major in nursing. (Students will still need to apply and be accepted into the university and the university’s nursing program.)

Note: This degree is offered on Caldwell campus and Watauga campus.

ACA-122 IS REQUIRED TO BE TAKEN IN THE FIRST SEMESTER FOR ALL COLLEGE TRANSFER STUDENTS.
