Accident Insurance
A student accident insurance policy is provided for each student enrolled in a curriculum or continuing education course. Curriculum students are charged $2 and continuing education students are charged $1 as an additional fee at registration.
Please note that this is a limited accident policy. The policy provides coverage for all students during school time activities, including intramural sports carried on within the boundaries of the college.
Coverage is provided while students are participating in college supervised and sponsored activities, including:
• Participating in or attending any regularly scheduled activity of the college. The activity must be
supervised by a person authorized by the college
• Traveling directly to and from a regularly scheduled activity with other members as a group. The
travel must be supervised by a person authorized by the college.
• Traveling directly and without interruption to and from the student's residence and the meeting
place for the purpose of participating in the regularly scheduled activity.
Accident insurance forms for the school policy are available in the Business Office.
Books and Supplies
Students are required to buy the necessary textbooks and supplies prescribed in the curriculum areas that they are entering. Textbooks and supplies vary according to different courses taken by students. An average expenditure of $650 can be expected for fall and spring semesters. The college accepts payment in cash, checks, money orders, Visa and MasterCard. Checks and money orders must be made payable to Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute. The college will not accept checks from any individual who has had a check returned to the college for any reason.
Campus Services Fees
Curriculum students will be charged a $2 per course campus services fee up to a maximum of $10 per semester. Continuing Education students will be charged $1 per course campus service fee up to a maximum of $10 per semester. This fee is nonrefundable unless there is an institutional error. Campus Services fees will also be charged to students in the Caldwell Early College High School, Caldwell Applied Sciences Academy and Career & College Promise.
Graduation Fees
A graduation application fee of $25 (subject to change) for a degree/diploma/certificate is due by the deadline for graduation applications. The fee covers the diploma cover, cap and gown. This fee is not refundable. The current charge for each additional degree/diploma/certificate is $15 (subject to change).
Malpractice Insurance
Malpractice insurance is required for the following programs: Biomedical Equipment Technology, Cardiovascular Sonography, Emergency Medical Technician, Human Services Technology, Medical Assisting, Medical Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, Nurse Aide, Associate Degree in Nursing, Ophthalmic Medical Personnel, Paramedic, Physical Therapist Assistant, Practical Nursing, Radiography and Speech Language Pathology Assistant. This fee is not refundable.
Student Activity Fee
Curriculum students will be charged $35 per semester. This fee is not refundable unless there is an institutional error. Activity fees may also be charged to students in the Caldwell Early College High School, Caldwell Applied Sciences Academy and Career & College Promise students.
