Academic Suspension
A student who is on academic probation for two or more successive semesters may be subject to a one semester suspension. A student on academic suspension who believes extenuating circumstances exist that should prevent the suspension must submit a written appeal to the Executive Director of Student Development and Success. Upon written receipt of appeal the Executive Director of Student Development and Success will convene an appeals committee which will be composed of three members of the faculty or staff to determine appropriate action. The decision of this committee is final.
A student may automatically enroll for the semester following the suspension but will continue to be on probation until their cumulative GPA is at or above 2.0. Academic progress will continue to be monitored to ensure the student is progressing in a positive manner towards graduation.
