VMware Academy
CCC&TI offers the VMware Academy for those interested in learning about cloud computing. Completion of the Academy modules prepares you for certification in this new and exciting information technology field.
VMware is by far the leader in virtualization that converts physical computers into an equivalent soft version, stored as a set of files. This allows access to your virtualized machine (VM) using any browser enabled workstation or thin client. The VMs use the resources of a Cluster, made up of multiple Servers that host the VMs. The collection of VMs hosted share the resources, Processing/Memory/Storage and Network, of the cluster. VMware’s vSphere tool used to manage clusters provides optimal utilization of the combined resources within this cloud.
vSphere 6.7: Install, Configure, and Manage (CTS-7000)
The IT Academy training starts with the course designated version of vSphere as a base and then expands upon it to include new content based on changes and updates to the current vSphere version. Our vHOL (virtual hands-on lab) and course material follows the same format as VMware's official Install, Configure, and Management vSphere training. This path continues with the follow-on course, Optimize and Scale (CTS-7001). Successful completion of the Optimized and Scale course meets the requirements to obtain your VCP, (Virtual Certified Professional), certification.
VMware vSphere: Optimize and Scale (CTS-7001)
This hands-on, "live online," training course for experienced VMware vSphere personnel, teaches advanced skills for configuring and maintaining a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure. The course is based on VMware vSphere ESXi 6 and vCenter Server 6. This course trains students to become a VMware Certified Professional. Completion of this course also satisfies the prerequisite for taking the VMware Certified Professional 6 exam.
