Student Responsibilities
Students must be aware of and have an understanding of the following:
A. At any time before or after aid disbursement, the Financial Aid Office is authorized to recalculate eligibility of funds for the following reasons:
- The Financial Aid Office receives notice of a “Never Attended” class.
- The Financial Aid Office receives notice of a “Withdrawn” class with a last date of attendance indicated to be before the full term census date (10% point of the term).
- The Financial Aid Office receives notice a student has received federal or state funds from another institution for the same semester.
- The Financial Aid Office receives notice from the Department of Education (DOE) the student is no longer eligible for current or future disbursements.
- The Financial Aid Office receives notice from the federal or state grant/scholarship granting agencies the student’s eligibility has changed.
B. SAP, Refund and Return to Title IV Refund Policies.
1. Maintain up-to-date contact information with the institution.
2. Frequently monitor official student email or Self Service portals.
3. Meeting all applicable Financial Aid deadlines.
4. Requirement of notifying the Financial Aid Office when planning to take coursework and receive aid at another college while enrolled at CCC&TI.
5. Providing complete, required verification documentation in a timely manner.
