Placement Testing - Placement Retest Policy
Placement Testing
Accuplacer’s Next Generation tests are used to determine a students college readiness and skill level in English and math. Students can take one, two, or all three eligible Next Generation tests depending on their program of study, course choices, or high school GPA. Determination of placement testing needs will occur during the admission process.
In most cases, the unweighted high school GPA will be used to determine English and Math placement.
Placement Retest Policy
Students may retest under the following guidelines:
- Evidence of at least 10 hours of formal review in the Academic Support Center or documentation
of completion of college approved Placement Test Review course(s).
- a fee if $2.00 per test is paid in the Business Office
- Only one retest per subject allowed in a one-year period.
Once enrolled in a developmental course, students may not retest until the end of the course.
Placement Test Exemptions
