Emergency Medical Responder - EMR
This entry-level course prepares students to meet state certification requirements and perform basic life support skills to assist Emergency Medical Technicians in the field. Skills developed are patient assessment, CPR, splinting and hemorrhage control.
Prerequisites:
- Must be 17 years of age on or before the official end date of the course.
- Possession of a high school diploma or high school equivalency, or successful completion of an exam assessing basic reading comprehension skills at a minimum at the 10th-grade level.
